This property is located in a very remote area of northern Minnesota. From the city of Nashwuak, I traveled on hwy 65 North for 23 miles and turned left onto County rd 52 for 5 miles and finally right 1 ½ miles on Joliet Rd. There is a Trail road that provides access to the property that is not marked (Wilco will cannot verify or guarantee an easement here but it sounds like physical access is there and the property it crosses is tax forfeited land.. Tax forfeited parcels are properties on which delinquent property taxes were not paid, title to the land and buildings was forfeited and title is now vested in the State of Minnesota. Following a review period per Minnesota Statutes, these properties are open to the public to purchase.)
I encountered no fences or gates. there was a cabin that looked to be maybe a two season hunting cabin at the beginning of the trail road that was unoccupied. No signage or numbers were visible. On the trail road there were multiple trees that had been up-rooted and across the trail from the previous winter’s snow.
The property is very remote and heavily wooded and thick with under canopy vegetation. Other than game trail’s and evidence of where deer stands for hunting had been placed the previous fall the property is undisturbed. The landscape is mainly flat with only the slightest of inclines. The property has no water features, but is rich with wild game including evidence of deer, bear, grouse and turkey.

- Access Notes: This property is surrounded by George Washington State Forest and County Tax Forfeited Property, so the best potential access route appears to be from County Road 554 and then that veers off to the west on on a dirt road, which appears to be used to access George Washington State Forest or in the past to access this 62 acre. Buyer will have to perform their own due diligence on access, we sell land as-is. I suggest onxmaps and county GIS maps or google earth. Property is priced with access in consideration.
