- Access Notes:
- Looking at Onxmaps the nearest main road is Oil City Rd.
- See plat map/easement doc in the photos section. This shows that roads were ‘platted’ out for this subdivision but it didn’t get finished. On paper, it appears to have easements and roads that were once supposed to be built out but the subdivision never got finished.
- According to the photographer who took pictures of the property:
- “We parked at the Oil City Trail Parking area in the Olympic National Park. It was an easy hike to the base of the hill and hiked up more than 900 yards in heavy brush to get to the property. There did appear to be a road above the property, however, we were not confident with the quality of the road and whether it was public or private as it appeared to be an offshoot of multiple roads, so we opted to approach it from below and hike up.”
- Reminders:
- Plan your route before you go. We recommend using the GPS coordinates and an app like OnxMaps. We have a tutorial video here: Click to view or County GIS maps, our Google Earth map link and Satellite images to map out potential access routes before visiting.
- Be safe when visiting! Rural, undeveloped land can be dangerous due to terrain, poor or non-existent road access, etc. and calls for caution when visiting.
